In Paul’s Holy Spirit inspired letters, he asked believers for their prayers. To the Romans he wrote, “I appeal to you, brothers, by our Lord Jesus Christ and by the love of the Spirit, to strive together with me in your prayers to God on my behalf.” Romans 15:30
At IBL, we are filled with the same Holy Spirit, committed to the same Lord Jesus Christ, and likewise, we appeal to our brothers and sisters in Christ, to strive together with us in your prayers to God on our behalf. Please commit to joining with us each month, by looking for an updated Prayer Guide the first Tuesday of the month.

This month’s Ministry Focus: Pastoral Training in Communist Vietnam
- Pray for Pastor Solomon, Russ Lloyd, and Pastor Scott Morgan as they provide pastoral training to the underground church in Vietnam (Oct 4th – 21st)
- Pray for safety in travel and physical well-being, for spiritual impact in our teaching/preaching, for protection from any form of harassment.
- Pray for our team members’ wives & families while they are absent.
- Please remember to pray for David, Russ and Scott’s safe, unhindered, entry into the country.
- Please extend these same prayers for David Phelan as he travels to join the team, October 10-17.
Special staff needs: Solomon and Deborah health issues
Solomon writes: “Please pray for Deborah, her pain and soreness in lower back and legs due to arthritis, and for me alight but persistent fever in the afternoon until midnight due to an unknown cause. Blessings!”
Other IBL areas of need and focused prayer
- Continued planning for Phase 2 of our Kenya ministry, including a January 15 – 24, 2018 planning trip to Kenya.
- For God to provide the financial resources needed through our upcoming year-end appeal to end the ministry year in the black.
- For our consulting, coaching and counseling clients, that they would remain faithful to the direction and convictions of God for their lives and ministries.
- The continued physical and spiritual health of our team members, especially as they travel extensively and are away from home and family.
- That we will continue to experience Holy Spirit-led unity as we grow our team.
